Christoph Ludwig

SV Judge & Körmeister

German Shepherd Dog judge Mr. Christoph Ludwig is an SV-licensed conformation judge and Körmeister from Germany, and the breeder behind the renowned kennel "von der Zenteiche". Trained as a Master of Financial Business Administration, he works as a management consultant and financial analyst alongside his long-standing involvement in the German Shepherd Dog breed.

Mr. Ludwig has been an SV member since 1985 and has served as breed warden and board member of OG Nassau since 1990. He has been an SV judge since 2005 and an SV Körmeister since 2011, and has repeatedly taken part as a delegate in the SV federal convention. His kennel "von der Zenteiche", founded in 1972 by his father Manfred Ludwig, has produced German Shepherd Dogs in the same dam line for 17 generations.

Dogs from "von der Zenteiche" have achieved outstanding results at the SV Bundessiegerzuchtschau, including multiple VA animals and a Siegerin title. Notable results include Jasmin, Xana, Lana, Zara, Leo, Viola and Leona von der Zenteiche with high SG and VA positions, including VA 1 Siegerin and Junghundsieger titles. His kennel groups have also placed consistently in the top rankings at the German Sieger Show, including 2nd, 3rd and 4th place group results.

Many dogs bred by Mr. Ludwig have gone on to win Sieger titles in other countries, with VA 1 placements recorded in the USA, Ukraine, Korea, China, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ecuador, Colombia, COAPA countries and Indonesia. This international impact reflects the influence of "von der Zenteiche" on German Shepherd Dog breeding across different regions.

In addition to his breeding record, Mr. Ludwig has judged more than 100 shows in Germany and has officiated in almost 60 countries, including Sieger shows on almost every continent. He judged at the German Bundessiegerzuchtschau in 2017 and 2023. He looks forward to returning to Pakistan to meet fanciers and breeders again and to contribute his experience to the evaluation of German Shepherd Dogs under the GSDCP.
